Curatorial Residency (New)The New Wave Curatorial Residency, developed in collaboration with The Bunker Artspace in West Palm Beach, is a year-long program designed to support an emerging and independent curator through a deeply engaged curatorial experience. Launching in 2027, the residency invites a selected curator to develop and realize a focused exhibition drawn from The Bunker’s collection, presented in the ground-floor gallery and culminating in a public opening in December 2027.
Structured as both a remote and in-person engagement, the program offers sustained access to The Bunker’s collection and curatorial team, alongside mentorship, professional development, and meaningful integration into the Palm Beach cultural ecosystem.

The New Wave Curatorial Residency, developed in collaboration with The Bunker Artspace, the esteemed collection of Beth Rudin DeWoody in West Palm Beach, is a year-long program supporting one emerging and independent curator through a deeply engaged curatorial experience. The selected resident will develop and realize an exhibition drawn from The Bunker's collection, presented in the ground-floor gallery and opening with a private reception in December 2027.
The residency provides a $5,000 stipend, housing during the on-site period, workspace, and collection access at The Bunker, and structured mentorship with The Bunker's curatorial, operations, and archive teams.

January – August 2027 - Remote R&D phase (virtual via Zoom)
September – October 2027 - On-site residency in West Palm Beach (approx. 4 weeks)
December 2027 - Exhibition opens
Eligibility
This residency is open to emerging and independent curators based in the United States. To be eligible, you must:
Have a between 2-7 years of professional curatorial experience.
Be working independently, without full-time employment or an exclusive contract with a gallery or museum. Have curated at least two exhibitions.
Co-curated projects are welcome, but we ask that you specify your role when applying.
Be available for the full in-person components of the program.
Proactively & responsibly participate in the virtual components of the program.
